Our vision is to be known as a gathering place where our growing community can discover, learn, and embrace the charm of Pennsylvania Dutch culture by merging the simplicity of bulk food stores with the distinctiveness of a specialty shop.

Mel Montgomery begins as
Managing Partner
Grace Witmer Styer
Grace and Alan Styer have been married since 7th July 1979. They have a beautiful family - Matthew, who has been deeply missed since 2011; Jon and his wife, Rhoda, with their son, Fennec; and Amanda and her husband, Ryan, who brought granddaughters Josephine, Runa, and Cedar into their lives.
Alan, a man of many talents, lent his woodworking skills to the store, crafting the quaint, original shelving that lends an authentic feel to your shopping experience. After serving as the CFO of Witmer's Inc. for 30 years, Grace moved on to co-establish the Best Western Plus Dutch Haus Inn and Suites, where she is the current CFO partner. Their love for their family now roots them in Mt. Sidney, VA, keeping them close to their children and grandchildren.
Mel & Steve Montgomery
Steve and Melanie Montgomery have served the people of Columbiana in the food, health, and hospitality industries since 2007 at Lamppost Farm. Having worked for 15 years as campus ministers before starting the farm, their purpose is to serve the needs of those around them. They have met customer needs for sustainably raised foods and educational experiences through hyper-relational attention.
With this new venture, they also hope to carry the 33-year legacy of hospitality through the Dutch Cupboard forward in the community of Columbiana. They are delighted to introduce themselves and their 4 adult children to the loyal customers who have kept the Dutch Cupboard thriving all these years.
